Our Coordinating Chaplain, Revd Dr Fiona Haworth has an office in Woodbury, WB 076.
Fiona knows many of the local ministers and churches so can help you to find a worshipping community where you will feel at home. Fiona is a member of the Worcestershire Inter Faith Forum and has contacts with faith communities in and around Worcester and again will be happy to help you make contact with a local faith community. Please see the Places of Worship page where many of the local places of worship are listed, along with contact information. We endeavour to keep the information listed as accurate as possible.
Fiona organises a range of informal meetings during the year for both staff and students. Please look at the events section for more information. Fiona is happy to meet with students individually or in groups and can offer a listening ear and a chance to talk over a mug of tea or coffee. The University does provide designated multi faith rooms at St John's and the City Campus; please ask if you would like to know more. At the City Campus the Jenny Lind Chapel will also be availalbe when not in other use.
The chaplaincy is committed to working for issues of peace and justice; as a first step towards this all tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate used in the chaplaincy are Fair Trade.

Holocaust Memorial Day 27th January
Holocaust Memorial Day was marked with a simple ceremony for staff and students in main reception on the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. We remembered the persecution of the Jews in the Second World War and subsequent genocides including the one in Rwanda and pledged to learn the lessons of the past. We hope that this will become an annual event.
