The taught postgraduate courses we offer are delivered through modules of learning and teaching which are designed to challenge and extend your knowledge and which facilitate independence.
Students have the opportunity to study most of our taught postgraduate courses to:
* Postgraduate Certificate (three modules)
* Postgraduate Diploma (six modules)
* Masters (nine modules).
An application form can be obtained from the Admissions Office or downloaded here.
We advise that you apply early for taught postgraduate courses. Application is direct to the University and some courses may be full by the summer. The application procedures and deadlines for PGCE courses are different depending upon the PGCE.

Accreditation of Prior Learning
In many cases it is possible for you to gain credit for previous study or learning experiences. This will exempt you from modules or qualifications within your chosen postgraduate programme. The University has a postgraduate credit assessment system which operates through the Postgraduate Credit Admissions Committee (PCAC).
For further information about how to make a claim for prior learning please refer to our APL/APEL Guide.
