The Recruitment and Admissions Office deals with applications for:
- Degree courses (including Teacher Training,Undergraduate Modular Scheme, Horticulture and Midwifery)
- Postgraduate taught Degree courses
- Foundation Degree courses
- Higher National Diplomas and Certificates
- Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing
- Certificate in Management Studies
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Applications for credit (including certificated and experiential)
- Part-time degree courses

Main areas of responsibility:
- Answering and processing enquiries from prospective students, including full-time, part-time and applications for credit.
- Providing an advisory service for potential applicants to the University.
- Liaising with other educational bodies to support and promote recruitment. Organising and providing information on Visit Days.
- Liaising with course leaders to ensure an efficient and effective Admissions service.
- Arranging interview and advisory interview dates.
- Co-ordinating and reviewing decisions on UCAS, GTTR and NMAS applications.
- Sending out joining instructions and assisting with student induction programmes.
- Liaising with other Registry Services departments for the maintenance of student records, processing of student loans and organisation of awards' ceremonies.
