Improving Practice in Education PGCert
This three-module certificate is designed for teachers and other professionals who want to develop their own practice and improve learning for their students.
Participants can work as individuals or as part of a group within a school, cluster or other educational setting.You can choose an area for personal development or work collaboratively with a school-based focus.
You may use the certificate to accredit a range of professional learning, for example Forest Schools leadership training or the DfES certification for PSHE leaders. You may also choose to use the assessment framework to address your personal performance management goals or your workplace improvement agenda.
How to Apply
For all taught postgraduate and PG Cert programmes, please apply directly to University of Worcester. You can download an application form, or can contact the Admissions office on 01905 855111 / pg-admissions@worc.ac.uk
Alternatively you can apply online for postgraduate programmes at University of Worcester via the Prospects online directory of postgraduate programmes. There is no fee for using the online application service.
When we receive your application form, your details will be passed to the Masters Programme Leader who will contact you to arrange an informal interview. You may include additional material, such as references, in support of your application or bring them with you to interview.
You can apply for postgraduate taught courses and PG Certs at any time, but preferably as early as possible before the start of the academic year, which begins in September.

Assessment
Your tutor will support you with regular group tutorials. School-based groups can choose a shared theme or focus for study. Meetings may be on campus, at your school or setting or at a location close to your workplace. You will have access to on-campus and electronic learning resources, including Blackboard, the University’s e-learning website. Your tutor will also offer ongoing email support.
