The General English/IELTS preparation classes is suitable for students at B1+/C1 level (from IELTS 5.0). This course is ideal if you want to develop your English language skills alongside preparing for the IELTS exam.
The classes are taught by experienced English language tutors and you will learn to communicate more effectively in English for work and study. You will work on improving all four language skills: speaking, reading, listening and writing.
The full course consists of four blocks of six weeks and aims to help you raise your IELTS level by one band. You can enrol for one block of six weeks at a time.
The IELTS (International Language Testing System) is recognised by employers, colleges and universities worldwide as a reliable indication of your English language level. The IELTS test also meets SELT (Secure English Language Test) requirements; therefore UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) accept the IELTS certificate as evidence of a visa applicant's English language level and skills.
For more information about the content of the IELTS test visit www.ielts.org.
Please note that applicants should be intermediate level (B1) or higher to benefit from this course. If you are unsure whether your general English level is high enough, please take the test on the Cambridge English Language Assessment website and email us with your results (your score and which Cambridge ESOL exam is recommended) at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then be able to advise you on whether the class is suitable for you.
