The University of Worcester IELTS course is for students who wish to prepare for the IELTS exam. Entry level for this course is B2/IELTS 5-5.5; the language in this course will be reasonably high.
The aim of the course (6 weeks) is to help you improve your IELTS level and prepare you with the skills required for the IELTS examination. This course is ideal for students who need to take the IELTS exam for the first time or for those who wish to improve their IELTS score.
This course is designed to develop your communicative ability by focusing on the four skills tested in the IELTS exam: speaking, writing, reading and listening. The aim is to prepare you for the IELTS exam and also develop your overall English communication skills and is therefore suitable for all high level students of English who want to develop their language ability.
The IELTS (International Language Testing System) is recognised by employers, colleges and universities worldwide as a reliable indication of your English language level. The IELTS also meets SELTS (Secure English Language Test) requirements; therefore UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) accept the IELTS certificate as evidence of a visa applicant's English language level and skills.
