Student work
The calibre of our students, and the quality of our courses, is demonstrated by the successes we have achieved. Here are some of the awards and commendations our students have notched up over the past year:
Hibai Castro - Short Film Festival in Bilbao.
Matt Russell - Documentary category at Blink Film Festival.
Sally Oliver - Won the competition to design the 2006 Identity for the National Archery Championships.
Charlotte Holmes - Won the 2006 Children's Book Fair Competition to Design a promotional website for the event.
Lindsey Hulse and Alison Shorter - Won their category on the 2007 Worcestershire heats of the Viewfinder Short Film Festival with their Animation, ‘Junket’.
Laura Cohen - Student Exhibition Designer of the Year.
Dawn Innet from the Worcester charity ‘Lifestyles’ (that aims to place people with learning difficulties into useful employment) wrote this about a group of our students - Martin Ellis, Dan James and James Evans - who worked on a corporate video production:
“We are really delighted with the finished product and are so pleased that we will have something so useful to sell our organisation.
All three of your guys have been great. They have been wonderful with the participants and carried out their duties in a really friendly but professional way. I think - certainly for us - they have met all deadlines and when they said they would do something, they have!
Thanks very much!”
Three Speed bids were successful from Creative Digital Media students: one from Gemma Perkins for running a design company, including an ‘agency’ for Creative Digital Media graduates, one from Craig Jones to establish his VJ work in clubs in the Worcester area and one from Marc Coneely and Theo Sawford to make video recordings of live sports events.
