Mathematics Masterclass Series 2016

Please note: We are planning to host the 2017 RI Mathematics Masterclasses in autumn 2017 but this is dependent on the confirmation of external funding.

Information for Participants

  • Participation is by invitation only following nominations through schools.
  • Masterclasses run from 10am to 12:30pm on Saturday mornings.
  • Each masterclass will take place at the University of Worcester, full address below.

Arrangements in case of bad weather

Occasionally bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances may mean a Masterclass has to be cancelled at short notice. If this happens, a notice will be posted here. You are advised to check before travelling!

About Royal Institution Masterclasses


Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses are designed to encourage, inspire and engage young people in the art and practice of mathematics. The highly interactive sessions introduce students to aspects or applications of maths which may not usually be covered in the school curriculum and open young people’s eyes to the excitement, beauty and real-world value of mathematics.

Pupils in Year 9 in 2015 - 16 who are mathematically able and have potential and interest in the classes.
