Paul Snookes is the Language Centre Manager here in the University of Worcester where he teaches English as a foreign language (EFL). Paul has taught EFL since 1983 after graduating with a BEd from the University of Exeter. He obtained a Dip TEFL in 1986 and went on to complete an MSc in IT and Learning from the University of Lancaster in 1991. He started his teaching career in the EFL private sector before working for the British Council in Japan in the late 1980s. After his masters he taught EFL in the University of Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Language Foundation before teaching English in Higher Education in Japan for eight years. On returning to the UK Paul worked in Further Education in the UK from 2002 to 2007.
Teaching & Research
Since 1991 he has combined his passion for teaching English with using information learning technology (ILT) to help learners reach their full potential. He has written papers and presented at conferences on EFL and ILT as well as being fully involved in training teachers on how to apply ILT in their teaching.
