Before joining the University of Worcester in 2003 Moira worked as a primary school teacher in Hampshire. In addition to being a class teacher she was a subject leader for Information and Communication Technology in several schools, mentored Newly Qualified Teachers and was a member of the Senior Management Team. After leading several in-school Continuing Professional Development training programmes for teachers in ICT, Moira became increasingly involved in teacher education culminating in her move to the University of Worcester. Since joining the university Moira has continued to explore technology enhanced learning across the age range from early years, primary and higher education. Moira’s current Action Research PhD explores e-portfolios for student assessment and transformational learning. In 2011 Moira was awarded University of Worcester Teaching Fellow. Moira has worked at a national level as a committee member for her subject association, has been part of the Department for Education National Curriculum Expert Group for Computing and regularly publishes and presents on Computing and Technology Enhanced Learning. Moira has an interest in strategic TEL development in higher education and currently sits on the University of Worcester TEL working group, institute course leader forums, learning and teaching and quality committees to promote an embedded approach to TEL. Moira is currently leading on a Dissemination, Discussion and Assimilation project for the institute Learning, Teaching and Student Experience sub-committee The Learning Conversation.
