Linda is committed to building the best possible education for young people and has worked in the science education arena throughout her career. As a teacher, Linda’s specialist teaching subject was Physics but she also taught on a variety of combined/integrated science courses up to GCSE level and Science in Society courses to post-16 classes.

Following a period of successful teaching in Humberside and the Gloucestershire, Linda was seconded as an advisory teacher to work with secondary schools in Gloucestershire. Following that, she worked as an educational researcher on a government funded science curriculum project, presenting results nationally and internationally. She then returned to the classroom, for a further seven years before taking up her appointment as lead secondary science PGCE tutor in Worcester, working primarily on the Initial Teacher Training programmes but also contributing to professional development courses for serving teachers,

In 2006 Linda stepped down as lead science tutor to devote more time to address the broader remit of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) curriculum initiatives. Linda now divides her time between contributing to the delivery of the ITT secondary courses and acting as Project manager for the University’s role as Local Contract Holder for the STEMNET Project.
