Kim completed her degree and Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Worcester. She was appointed as PGCE Secondary course tutor back in February 2015 after gaining over 8 years of valuable experience in one of the partnership’s large comprehensive high schools.

She worked in a range of roles and had various responsibilities in that time. It was during the latter 4 years of her previous post that she excelled in the role of subject mentor in partnership with the University of Worcester. She adapted her skills gained through supporting pupils and colleagues to mentor PGCE trainees, encouraging them to experiment and innovate with their strengths while embracing and exploring their weaknesses in delivering high quality PE. She has been part of the University’s recruitment team for PGCE and School Direct PE trainees for the last 4 years and thinks it is important to work with passionate individuals who want success for themselves and all of the children that they encounter.

Kim is currently working on the development of second subjects for Worcester PGCE trainees as well as a Girls Active project with the Youth Sport Trust. She also sits of the University’s Women In Sport and Exercise committee having a particular interest in well-being.
