I have been working within the sexual violence field since 2001 and have been in post as Chief Officer of West Mercia Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre since 2004. I am a qualified counsellor and have worked in a variety of agencies and also in private practice, I specialise in working with survivors of sexual violence and I am member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
Until recently I held the post of Secretary for Rape Crisis (England & Wales) and I continue to work closely with both the regional Rape Crisis groups and the national board.
I have previously worked with the Youth Offending Service, Youth Support Services, and the Probation Service and in finance.
