NPARU has experience in a number of areas of health and our services include research into aspects of allergy, clinical trials and holding seminars.

There is both a commercial and a research element to the work in the area of health. The unit runs trial for both research purposes and on behalf of manufacturers of medical devices relating to allergies and other items such as bedding and breathing masks. The unit works closely with pharmaceutical companies, the health care industry and manufacturers of products for allergen reduction.

Recent seminars have included topics on food allergy, ocular allergy and Rhinitis. Seminars are open to both health professionals and the general public.

Professor Kennedy currently sits on the board of the West Midlands (South) Clinical Research Network as a representative of the University of Worcester
