Dr Gabor Sarlos

Gabor is a Senior Lecturer in Public Relations and Corporate Communications, following a year in a similar position at the University of Wolverhampton. Previously, he held a similar role with the Buckingham University accredited International Business School of Budapest. His professional career includes running of his own award-winning PR firm for over 20 years, development and execution of full range public relations, reputation management and change management campaigns, communication strategy development for corporate and NGO clients on various European markets, and providing professional communication and media consulting and training services for management of business, social and political organisations.

Qualifications

PhD in Sociology, ELTE University, Budapest.  Research area: Risk and benefits perception of nuclear energy in Europe.

MSc in Economics, Budapest Corvinus University.

Graduate Certificate of Business Studies, Swinburne University, Melbourne.

Teaching & Research

During the last 8 years Gabor has been leading undergraduate and graduate modules and courses in the fields of Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility and Science Communication.

His prime research interests include energy transition and sustainability communication, crisis and risk management as well as science communication.
