Fees & Funding

The tuition fees for full-time and part-time research degrees at the University of Worcester can be found on our Finance pages here. If you are looking for funding for your research degree there are a range of possibilities.

Each year, the University of Worcester offers a number of research studentships in defined subject areas which provide a tax-free bursary of £12,300 per annum and cover the costs of tuition fees at the UK/EU rate for a three year period. Details of the studentships currently on offer can be found on our PhD Studentships page.

There are some funding bodies and charities in the UK and overseas who offer similar full-time, fully-funded studentships. For the most part, these tend to be focused on often very specific subject areas. There are some funders who will not cover the costs of fees or of living expenses but who offer contributions towards expenses associated with the research such as travel to conferences, equipment and so on. All such funding is awarded through open competition and, as you would expect, is highly sought after.
