Early Years Professional Status - fully-funded places available now
The new phase of Early Years Professional Status started in January 2012. Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) is the graduate level professional accreditation programme for leading practitioners in the early years sector.
Since its launch in 2007, EYPS has become recognised as the gold-standard in early years training and the only government endorsed accreditation for the early years workforce and is now also open to those working in the maintained sector.
Training providers across England are now actively recruiting for the funded programme, The University of Worcester is offering places for September 2012 to candidates who currently work in the early year’s sector and to potential learners who would like to consider a career in early years in the future.
Practitioner routes are for people employed within an early years setting in the PVI and maintained sector.
EYPS is a graduate-level programme, led by the Children’s Workforce Development Council (CWDC). It is the only government endorsed professional accreditation for the early years sector providing learners with a degree level qualification, professional status and work based experience.
More than 8,500 early years practitioners have already achieved Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), helping raise the standards and the status of the early years’ workforce across England.
Research published earlier this year highlights that EYPs continue to make a difference to children’s learning and development through providing leadership across early years settings and improving outcomes directly for the children they work with.
