Aerobiology

The National Pollen Aerobiology Research Unit is a leading institution in research and commercial activity in the area of aerobiology; which is the study of all aspects of the aerial dispersal, distribution and impact of biological particles present in outdoor and indoor air.

NPARU has been the main provider of pollen forecasts, fungal spore forecasts and pollen data for the whole of the UK and all of Ireland. Starting from 2011, NPARU will be collaborating with Met office to add to their Weather and Health Forecasting service.
