Background to the overall project and original handbook/DVD

The idea for the project and the methodology to support it came from a programme from Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia who developed a DVD training resource entitled ‘Come into my World’. Professor Brooker collaborated with the team at Flinders and contributed to the original DVD.

The development of Stand by Me DVD and handbook was a collaborative project between ADS, NHS Worcestershire, NHS Herefordshire and North East Worcestershire (NEW) College. The funding came from Herefordshire & Worcestershire Locality Workforce Development Board 2009/2010. The final product is freely-available to organisations based in Herefordshire and Worcestershire and at a small cost for those outside the locality.

You can purchase a copy of the original handbook/DVD online using the secure link. Alternatively, you can use this form to order your copy.
