A special Dragons Den/Apprentice-style event aimed at young people will be hosted by the University of Worcester at this year’s Hay Festival.
The famous literary event, held annually in Hay-on-Wye, will feature a number of events for young people of all ages, alongside its usual array of high profile guests.
The enterprise event, hosted by the University in association with UK Youth, will take place on Tuesday, May 31 at 11.30am. It will be a “mash-up” of The Apprentice and Dragons’ Den with young people starting the day with an idea, then creating a marketing campaign and finally putting it to a panel of Dragons.
Howard Skerry, Head of the University’s Business Development Office, said: “The University is delighted to be part of such a prestigious event. The enterprise event is already sold out, which is shows how many young people today are budding entrepreneurs at heart.”
