International Foundation Diploma
The International Foundation Diploma is a one year or half-year full-time course for international students who wish to take a degree or HND course in the UK. It provides intensive study of the English language, combined with an introduction to study skills, to chosen subject studies, and to British life and institutions.
Successful completion of the IFD course guarantees a place on the University of Worcester's three year BA/BSc (Honours) degrees in the Business School.

Modules for Semester One in the standard two-semester course:

- English for Specific Purposes: Business

- Academic Listening and Reading
- Foundation Project
- Introduction to British Life and Institutions
- Subject Study Module: Business
Modules for the fast track one-semester course:
- Study Skills for Higher Education/English for Academic Writing
- Academic Listening and Reading
- Foundation Project
- Introduction to British Life and Institutions
- Subject Study Module: Business
Entry Requirements
Students wishing to join the International Foundation Diploma programme (one year) should have:
- Home country qualifications demonstrating an educational level which indicates likely success on the Diploma programme
and - An English language IELTS score of 4.5 (with not less than 4.5 in the written test), but less than IELTS 6.0 or an equivalent
For the fast track one semester course (half a year):
- A valid school leavers certificate of an exceptionally high standard
- An IELTS score of 5.0 (with not less than 5.0 in the written test), but less than IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
