My research is match funded by West Mercia Police Constabulary. My area of study is Occupational Psychology, more specifically careers. I am looking at how to take a more flexible approach to career development for Police Staff.
I was attracted to the University of Worcester because of the applied nature of the research. This has meant that from the start, I have had access to participants in a real organisational setting which has helped my work to progress quickly.
The facilities for full-time research students at the University of Worcester are great and I have regular contact with my supervisor. I have also had the opportunity to take part in other activities at the University including, lecturing, marking and knowledge transfer consultancy work. This will be valuable experience for my future career.
