Sports Performance & Coaching HND
Encompassing both practical and academic elements, this course focuses on sports coaching, analysis of performance and the theoretical knowledge underpinning sport.
The HND in Sports Performance & Coaching is a two year full-time qualification which runs in conjunction with the University of Worcester. All learning will take place at Telford College of Arts and Technology.
Learning takes place in a practical and lecture-based environment, and will focus on developing professional skills through vocational opportunities within the sporting industry. You will have the opportunity to work with a broad variety of sporting populations, including elite athletes, novice and intermediate participants, children, peers and students with learning difficulties.
The course will develop your personal and transferable skills whilst also developing the attributes associated with the study of sport at higher education level.

The TCAT Super Dome which provides facilities for all-weather training and the latest technology in playing surfaces
Sports Hall, housing basketball, netball and badminton to international standard
Aerobic studio, with mirrored wall, suitable for dance, ballet and aerobic activities
State-of-the-art multi-gym, comprising Techno gym equipment
New facilities will include an on-campus brand new floodlit 3G full size rugby/football pitch
On successful completion of the programme you can progress directly onto the second or third year of a linked BSc (Hons) degree at Worcester e.g. Sports Coaching Science.

Study options
This course runs in conjunction with the University of Worcester and Telford College of Arts and Technology. All teaching will take place at Telford College of Arts and Technology, which is 50 miles from Worcester. Accommodation is available on request and organised on an individual basis.
