Arboriculture BSc (Hons)/FdSc
Developed in partnership with Pershore College, this new course is ideal for those who wish to become arboriculturists or tree surgeons and have a head for heights.
Integrated work-based learning helps to place academic learning into context and prepares you for the workplace. All modules are delivered by staff with substantial experience in amenity arboriculture.
Course modules cover the key principles of amenity arboriculture, maintenance of trees and woodlands both practically and in the laboratory. A mandatory period of work placement is an essential element of the Foundation degree and enables you to apply the principles developed on the course to real, workplace situations.
Successful completion of the Foundation degree will enable progression to the final year of the BSc (Hons) Arboriculture & Tree Management course where the principles of community forestry & tree arboricultural management, and silviculture will be developed.
This course is taught at Pershore College (a centre of vocational excellence for Horticulture) in collaboration with the University of Worcester. To view information about this course on the Pershore College website.
