Professional Garden Management BSc (Hons)/FdSc
Study Professional Garden Management
Britain’s parks, gardens and stately homes are amongst the country’s top tourist attractions. These, together with a multitude of private gardens, require skilled, knowledgeable and experienced staff to manage, maintain and develop this precious horticultural resource.
The Foundation degree in Professional Garden Management will help you to develop the skills and knowledge required for working in this rewarding and varied sector. Plant knowledge, propagation, maintenance, and design are all taught, along with management, garden history, and restoration. An integral part of the course is a substantial period of work placement during which you will develop the skills learned on the course and apply them in the workplace.
Successful completion of the Foundation degree will enable progression to the final year of the BSc (Hons) programme where the management of historic parks and gardens as major tourist attractions will be explored further.
