Wyre Community Land Trust

Wyre Community Land Trust is a small not for profit organisation based in the Wyre Forest near Bewdley and works in close partnership with Natural England, the Wildlife trusts, the Forestry Commission and local land owners. It has a very active volunteer program.

Volunteers are an essential part of the Wyre Community Land Trust (WCLT) and crucial to its success. Conservation volunteers help it carry out the important work needed to conserve the Wyre Forest, its wildflower meadows and traditional orchards.

Autumn months include picking and using the fruits of our orchards with the local community. Winter work involves the planting of fruit trees in new or existing orchards, coppicing, tree work and clearing scrub. Wyre Woodworks is its volunteer wood working team.  It has built a workshop at its base and utilises the sustainably managed oak from the forest to create a range of products from beams to bird boxes and gates to simple garden furniture.
