A student from Bristol is celebrating after achieving First Class Honours in her degree.
Kerri-Anne Smith, from Hanham, joined the University of Worcester’s Primary Initial Teacher Education course three years ago after completing A-levels at Hanham High Sixth Form.
The 21-year-old said: “I had an amazing three years at Worcester; I love the city and the area. As soon as I visited the University, I just knew I had to come; it had such a lovely homely feel.
“I have met the best friends I could wish for - one of whom I am living with next year. Worcester pushed me against my boundaries, gave me amazing experiences and even allowed me to meet my boyfriend. I have never been so happy to be studying, and the University provided me with opportunities that I never would have had otherwise.”
Kerri-Anne will graduate with First Class Honours during a ceremony at Worcester Cathedral in November.
“I did not think for one minute that I would get a First, and the fact that I have is unbelievable,” she said. “It’s nice to know that the months of stress and dissertation writing were all worth it in the end.”
Kerri-Anne will start work at St Nicholas CE Middle School in Pershore, Worcestershire, in September.
