Exchange programmes for UW students

A Global Education

The University of Worcester can open up worldwide opportunities for you. You can immerse yourself in another culture while accumulating credit for your degree.

Statistics show that students who take up exchange opportunities not only benefit in terms of their social confidence but also score higher marks in their final degrees.

Exchanges for Worcester Students: Enhance your degree with a semester abroad. Travel, improve your employability, enhance your personal development, and add value to your degree as Exchanges are now part of the WORCESTER AWARD.

Learn a new language

A second language offers a tremendous advantage when competing for jobs – there’s no better way to attain fluency than complete immersion. Our Language Centre can help you build up your skills prior to your exchange, although many of our partners also offer courses in English if you prefer.

EILCs - Erasmus Intensive Language Courses

Students taking part in Erasmus European Exchange programmes may have the opportunity to study the language of the host country prior to their study period overseas. These are special language courses in the less widely used and less taught European Union languages. The advantages of these courses are tremendous and include 20 hours a week language training, special cultural components within the programme and no extra tuition fees. See the following website for more information: http://ec.europa.eu/education/erasmus/doc902_en.htm or contact the International Centre.
