Birmingham International Airport
If you fly into Birmingham and have informed us of your arrival details by downloading the document ‘2010 – all you need to know’, we may be able to meet you at the airport.
Alternatively, Birmingham International airport is approximately 1.5 hours by train to Worcester. The easiest and cheapest route to take is a direct train to Birmingham New Street. From here there is a regular service to Hereford, which calls at our Worcester stations.
The train will usually depart from platform 12 at Birmingham New Street, and takes around 50 minutes to get to Worcester stations. The closest train station to the university is Worcester Foregate Street. Leave the train here, go down the stairs and outside and you will see taxis across the road and to your right.
Ask one to take you to the University of Worcester main reception and you will arrive here within around 10 minutes, and it should cost you around 3-5 pounds.
To plan your journey by train and book tickets, please visit www.nationalrail.co.uk/ or alternatively pay on the day, though this may be slightly more expensive.
