An exchange at Worcester

Worcester has a number of established links with partners in Europe and worldwide. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate exchange programmes to students based outside the UK. Our European Partnerships are part of the LLP-Erasmus programme and include ECTS, the European Community Course Credit Transfer System, enabling European students to gain full credit transfer for their time in the UK. You can find out more from the link in the right-hand column. Many of our non-European partners also offer credit transfer – ask at your International Centre for details. If you are interested in studying at Worcester as part of an exchange, complete the International Incoming Exchange application form and return it to the International Centre.

A Global Education

The University of Worcester can open up worldwide opportunities for you. You can immerse yourself in another culture while accumulating credit for your degree.

Statistics show that students who take up exchange opportunities not only benefit in terms of their social confidence but also score higher marks in their final degrees.

Learn a new language

A second language offers a tremendous advantage when competing for jobs – there’s no better way to attain fluency than complete immersion. Our Language Centre can help you build up your skills prior to your exchange, although many of our partners also offer courses in English if you prefer.

EILCs - Erasmus Intensive Language Courses

Students taking part in Erasmus European Exchange programmes may have the opportunity to study the language of the host country prior to their study period overseas. These are special language courses in the less widely used and less taught European Union languages. The advantages of these courses are tremendous and include 20 hours a week language training, special cultural components within the programme and no extra tuition fees.
