Our Staff
For staff who are not aware of our work, we encourage talented people from groups generally underrepresented in universities, to consider Higher Education as a real option. This is achieved through organising events such as visit days, the Sports Science Summer School, and mentoring scheme.
The team also work to inform wide policy and strategies within the university to ensure that procedures are inclusive.
Lend a hand
To ensure the continued success of our events we need support from all members of staff, particularly teaching staff to deliver hour long subject specific sessions on visit days.
Each academic department has a designated Widening Participation champion. For the 2008-09 academic year they are:
- Institute of Education (IoE): (to be confirmed)
- Institute of Health and Society (IHS): (to be confirmed)
- Institute of Humanities and Creative Arts (IHCA): (to be confirmed)
- Institute of Science and the Environment (ISE): (to be confirmed)
- Institute of Sport and Exercise Science (ISES): (to be confirmed)
- Worcester Business School (WBS): (to be confirmed)
